Bill's Place is a higher institution of Burgerology....Just plain fabulous....Danny used to frequent Bill's when he lived out in the Richmond district. It was the best back then and appears to be still today. Giant burger, no on second thought make that a patty melt, with fries and a Vanilla shake please....plenty of good fountain drinks - like a brown cow, and hamburgers named after celebrities and of course Bill. There's the Carol Doda burger (check the menu to find out how it's dressed) named after the woman who introduced us to topless dancing - Danny would sometimes find himself drinking cappuccinos (really steamed milk, chocolate and brandy no espresso) at Tosca's bar in North Beach next to Carol while she fortified herself by nursing White Nuns between shows at the Condor, but that's another story, isn't it Danny...
